It took KanYe West to bring me out of my writer’s block.

In case you haven’t heard, he made a total ass of himself (again) at the MTV Video Music Awards (again) by stealing the microphone from young Taylor Swift as she was making her acceptance speech. He ranted

about how Beyonce should have won the award instead, while a horrified Swift looked on, wondering if that bad dream she always had was really coming to life.

Yeah, it was awful, rude, uncalled for, reprehensible, etc. But we’ve come to expect that from KanYe, the person who routinely does things to piss people off. But I’m still wondering is why this parasite is famous to begin with. I mean, he rhymes for a living. That’s not really a talent, is it? Especially when you come up with such horrid poetry as “Don’t try to treat me like I ain’t famous My apologies, are you into astrology Cause I’m, I’m tryin’ to make it to Uranus.”

Is my bias against hip hop showing? Of course. Do I care? No.
