I know I’m posting an awful lot of R.E.M. stuff lately (and there’s more to come over the weekend – sorry), but in researching a post, I came across this fantastic three-part series on R.E.M.’s career as witnessed by one of their earliest fans. We’re talking “Wolves, Lower” early. The author perfectly captures not only the feel of each album, but also describes his anticipation, his reactions so well, you feel as if you’re going through it with him. I wish I had written it.
